An Inside Look at North Carolina’s Read to Achieve Program

The ability to read opens doors and opportunities every child deserves. And today, ExcelinEd released a report examining how North Carolina is reaching more students with this life-changing skill.

For nearly four years, North Carolina has used Read to Achieve—the state’s K-3 comprehensive reading program—to get more students reading on grade level by the end of third grade.

ExcelinEd’s report North Carolina Read to Achieve: An Inside Look explores insights of local stakeholders into the program’s successes and ways North Carolina could build upon their improvements.

I hope you will review this study, share with your colleagues and take the information you have gathered to act boldly on behalf of the children in your state.
