Today is National Read a Book Day! A student’s ability to read is a critical predictor of educational and lifelong success. Yet today, over half of K-12 students read less than fifteen minutes per day, leaving them very little time to practice and learn new words. Parents can share the gift of reading with their children every night by turning bedtime into story time, laying the foundation for success in school and beyond.
