"Students don’t start out behind, they fall behind. To keep students engaged, we should combine a rigorous curriculum with one that is organized around students’ individual interests."

Who We Are

What motivates students to exceed expectations?
What are the secrets to successful teaching?
How do we replicate academic achievement across classrooms, schools and school districts, regardless of their unique challenges?

Answering these questions is the mission of the Foundation for Excellence in Education. Our programs identify, quantify, reward and foster replication of excellence in education.

While success is earned, excellence can be learned. Defining, sharing and adopting the characteristics of greatness in education will transform our public schools into world-class learning institutions. Empowering students, parents, teachers and policymakers with the information to improve can serve as a catalyst for excellence in education.

Providing a high quality education to all students ensures our students enter the world with the skills to compete and succeed in the increasingly competitive global marketplace. An educated workforce will attract investors to create high-wage jobs and produce prosperity.

The Foundation for Excellence in Education is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit charitable organization launched in 2007 by Jeb Bush, Governor of Florida from 1999 to 2007. Contributions are tax deductible.
